O17KEI-Lent INSIDE IMGDear Friend in Christ,

As we complete Pope Francis’ Holy Year of Mercy, this has been a time to heal wounds, a time to forgive and reconcile friendships, and a time to become closer to Our Lord and Our Blessed Mother.

I immediately thought of the Parable of the Prodigal Son, who squandered his inheritance in a far-off land. Penniless, he returns to his family for forgiveness and is welcomed back by his father…

…just as Our Heavenly Father always welcomes us back regardless of our actions.

I thought that displaying this statuette of the father hugging his lost son would fill your home with Our Lord’s love and mercy throughout the year.

I have also arranged for your intentions to be remembered during three Masses each Friday during Lent:

• Two Masses will be celebrated at our spiritual center, Our Lady of Lourdes Grotto and Tepeyac de San Antonio each Friday during Lent.
• A third Mass will also lift up your special needs at the Church of Christ, Our Savior and Lord in Mexico City each Friday.

Perhaps one of the best Lenten sacrifices we can make is to help those who are not as fortunate as we are. That is exactly the impact you make when you continue your support for countless poor mission children and their families.

May Lent be a source of blessings for you, filling your life with love and peace.

P.S. As soon as I receive your intentions and support to assist the Missionary Oblates and the mission poor, I will forward the blessed figurine of the good father embracing his prodigal son as a reminder of Our Lord’s abounding love for all of us. Many thanks for your generosity for our missionaries and the mission poor!
