This week Oblate Missions was pleased to receive the surprise visit from Father Mariuz Bosek, OMI. Fr. Bosek is a native of Tychy, Poland, where he was ordained priest in 2003. He also spent many years serving the missions of Uruguay, where he learned Spanish, converted scores of community members, and formed life-long friendships. Fr. Bosek currently serves as the Director Assistant of the Missions Office in Poznan, Poland.

Fr. Bosek delighted the Oblate Missions staff with his Oblate Charism and his good humor. He spoke about the dangers he faced while serving as a missionary in Uruguay, and the challenges he found himself against in a very secular country. But Uruguay is teeming with kind, hard-working, and friendly people too, the priest explained.

Before leaving we had the chance to sit down with him for a brief interview, which he ended with a special message for all our San Antonio donors and benefactors. Enjoy!
