Mary, mother of Jesus and my mother, your
entire life was one of seeking out the will of God
and then fully embracing and living out God’s
plans for you. Your life was filled with
unspeakable joys in conceiving, giving birth to,
and raising your son, Jesus. Because you were
mother of our Savior, your life likewise brought
piercing swords of sorrow.
We pray to you, venerating your sorrows and
your strength, and we place our requests with
childlike confidence into the sanctuary of your
wounded heart.
