GO IN PEACE, FR. GERRY WEBER O.M.I.
After 15 years of faithful service as Spiritual Moderator for our local VM Chapter and as Director of Oblate Grotto Ministry Center, Fr. Gerry has accepted a new assignment. We appreciate his Pastoral Care and loving dedication. He was instrumental in our development. Always supportive and uplifting, he provided sound leadership and counseling. We will certainly miss his culinary skills and voice for song. Thank you for the annual spaghetti dinners and Christmas musical performances. His many homilies were spirit-filled and bared much fruit. We appreciate the countless prayers and blessing he offered on our behalf. Friends never say goodbye. Our paths will cross again, hopefully soon. We will keep him in prayer. May the Seven Gifts of the Holy Spirit always dwell in Fr. Gerry Weber. They are: Spirit of Wisdom, Spirit of Understanding, Spirit of Counsel, Spirit of Fortitude, Spirit of Knowledge, Spirit of Piety, and Spirit of Fear. God Bless Fr. Gerry as he Shepard’s a new flock.

We thank you for our earthly fathers, those to whom you have entrusted the responsibility to provide loving protection of their families and guidance of their children. We thank you, also, for our priests and bishops, whose spiritual fatherhood is so vital to the faith of your people. We ask this through Jesus Christ, your Son and Our Lord, AMEN.

Ministry Announcements:
Susan Krantz will undergo knee replacement surgery on June 17 at St. Luke Baptist Hospital on Floyd Curl Drive. Please keep her in prayer for surgery success and speedy recovery. Star Echterhoff’s mom needs prayer for recovery.
Fr. Stephen White, M.S.C. celebrates his 90th birthday on June 13. God Bless him as he continues to actively minister to all. He celebrates mass regularly at St. Matthew’s Catholic Church. He visits the ill in hospitals and offers Sacrament of the Sick. He blesses homes. This past December he joined the Confraternity of Our Lady of Guadalupe. He has been a VM member for 3 years. We thank him for his insightful reflections, Retreat talks and celebrating mass for us. We are privileged to call him Friend.
We had 26 people in attendance at our annual Day of Renewal Retreat on May 16. Each participant made the day special. We welcome 7 new members. Thank you for your interest in our ministry. Special THANKS to Retreat presenters: Fr. Gerry Weber, O.M.I., Steve Trevino, and Sr. Jo-Michele Sierra, S.S.C.J. Msgr. Thomas Palmer gave us a Special Blessing. We are also grateful to our many sponsors. Mary Flores & Lois Rios carried Prayer Candle and Flowers to Grotto. God blessed us in many ways. Blessings to all for this wonderful event.
