Loving God  

 

September 17- Day 3

Loving God, today we pray for all your people who are far
worse off than we are, who suffer far more than we do, who
are weaker than us, and for all those who don't have anyone

to lean on for strength and courage.

 

We pray for them that you may watch over them.  Give them
strength according to their needs, and give them hope according to their affliction.

 

Their presence reminds us that we are not the only ones
with problems -- that we might be grateful and thankful in so many ways.

 

Help us Dear Lord to form a vision that goes beyond our
own self interest, to enable us to accept our own crosses,
and remember your cross and the crosses that
all people have to bear everyday.  Amen.
