The Oblate Missionary Society, Inc. a division of Oblate Service Corporation, is seeking applicants for Director of Fundraising. The Oblate Missionary Society, Inc. is a nonprofit mission development and fundraising office, located in Belleville, Illinois and San Antonio, TX.

POSITION: Director of Fundraising

POSITION STATUS: Full-time, Exempt

POSITION SUMMARY: The Director of Marketing will plan, implement and supervise all mass communications and marketing initiatives including, but not limited to: direct mail, telemarketing, media relations, social media, websites, advertising and marketing projects to fulfill our mission of fundraising for the ministries of the US Province. Must have experience with combining two organizations marketing plans into one, cohesive unit with the ability to be collaborative, but decisive and visionary to lead this initiative in an emotionally intelligent way. Essential job tasks include developing marketing plans and devising out-of-the-box strategies for reaching individuals who will want to partner and invest in our mission of serving those in need. Must be able to develop digital and traditional marketing campaigns across multiple platforms and use research to develop, implement and measure the marketing strategies. The ideal candidate is decisive, proactive, innovative and passionate about helping others.

This individual will oversee and direct the operations of a department that consist of graphic designers, copywriter, photographer, and other marketing administrative support roles. Our offices are in Belleville, Illinois and San Antonio, TX. Some travel will be required with this position.

WORK HOURS: Office hours-Monday-Friday

EDUCATION/SKILLS: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration or other equivalent field, required. Master’s degree preferred. A minimum of five years’ experience in senior-level management in fundraising experience (direct mail, personal approaches, telemarketing, internet, social media, donor cultivation, etc.) or equivalent direct marketing operations, required. Knowledge and understanding of non-profit religious fundraising operations, required. Ability to communicate (verbal, written) in English in a clear, productive and professional manner, required. Bilingual skills, English and Spanish, preferred. Ability to create and to implement multiple strategies, and to coordinate common fundraising efforts and approaches, required. Ability to function as a team player and collaborate to achieve maximum results. Knowledge of the Roman Catholic Church, faith and mission philosophy, required. Strategic planning, innovative thinking, creativity, critical thinking, problem solving, negotiating, decision- making and interpersonal relations, required.
