May the Angels Carry Your Loved Ones to the House of Our Lord

Jesus said unto her, “I am the resurrection and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live.” John 11:25

In the midst of our grief when loved ones are lost, we draw strength knowing our faith in the Lord will always connect us with our loved ones, even after they pass on from this life. We can always be connected in prayer. That is why I hope you will join me in two special remembrances for All Souls Day.

Join us in Prayer during Two All Souls Novenas, Beginning in the Vatican in Rome.

As you may know, All Souls Day is a time to remember and honor your departed family members — and all others that touched your life and have now passed on.

Starting on the morning of All Souls Day, November 2, nine consecutive daily Masses will be celebrated, beginning in the Basilica of St. Peter in the Vatican. During these Masses, the names of your departed loved ones will be presented at the altar, as we ask Our Lord to have mercy on them and receive them into His kingdom. On that same morning, a second Novena of Masses will begin at Our Lady of Lourdes Grotto and Tepeyac de San Antonio.

And just as we look to Jesus for comfort in our sorrow and mourning, our Missionaries look to you for help in bringing God’s word and hope to the poorest of the poor throughout the world. To honor the memories of your beloved departed, an offering of whatever amount you can afford can offer life to infants, the elderly and entire families suffering from hunger, poverty and the lack of medical care. You can send your gift today, below.

As a thank you for your generous support, I would like to offer a very special remembrance to you this All Souls Day…

Votive CandlesTo thank you for your generous support of $25 or more, we will place a dedicated Candle of Remembrance at the Lourdes Grotto and Tepeyac de San Antonio or at our sister shrine, the National Shrine of Our Lady of Snows in Belleville, Illinois, for five days during this time of commemoration and reflection.

We are deeply honored to have you as a member of our Mazenodian-Oblate Family. Together, we carry Jesus’ healing message of hope to the poorest of God’s children, bringing physical and spiritual healing. Your continued support is a testament to your unwavering faith in Jesus and shows our mission poor that they are loved and cherished in the eyes of Our Lord.

If you have recently experienced the death of a loved one, be sure to honor their memory this All Souls Day and cherish your many shared experiences. Please take some comfort in knowing that our faith in Jesus connects us with them and, through the mercy of God, we will one day be reunited with them in Heaven.

Join me and all the members of our extended Mazenodian-Oblate Family, our Missionaries and
Seminarians as we raise our prayers for your departed loved ones.

In Christ and Mary Immaculate,
Fr. David P. Uribe, OMI
