Breast Cancer Awareness Month – Oblate Missions

Breast Cancer Awareness Month

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, a time to honor and pray for all those who have been diagnosed with this life-changing and life-threatening disease.

If you are someone you love has been touched by breast cancer, you understand the impact of that devastating diagnosis.

This month, we will remember and pray for those currently being treated…those who have overcome this diagnosis… and those we have lost, as well as their many friends and family members who are also affected.

If you know someone whose life is touched by breast cancer, please send me their names, so we may remember them at our monthly Healing Mass.

I hope you will also consider making a gift today that will help our missionaries bring medical care to the poorest of the poor.

And please join me during Breast Cancer Awareness Month in a special prayer:

Heavenly Father, during this month of October, we ask that You watch overall those who have been affected with breast cancer.  We pray for their health and recovery and know that You will keep them close to You.

We rejoice for those who have recovered and thankfully have entered remission, and we mourn for those who have tragically lost their lives.  May they enter into Your Kingdom and be granted eternal rest.

In Your name, Amen.
