“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!” (2 Corinthians 5:17)
During the holy celebration of Easter, we honor the suffering, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. This most sacred celebration is the ultimate cornerstone of our faith. The season of Easter begins on Palm
Sunday with Christ’s entry into Jerusalem, followed by the Last Supper on Holy Thursday, Our Lord’s crucifixion and death on Good Friday and His Resurrection on Easter morning. The season continues for
50 days after Easter Sunday until Pentecost Sunday, the celebration of the Holy Spirit descending upon the apostles allowing them and us, as baptized Christians, to be temples of the Holy Spirit.
So that we may be joined spiritually during this Easter season of celebration, I have arranged for your prayer needs to be remembered from now until Pentecost Sunday at Our Lady of Lourdes Grotto
and Tepeyac de San Antonio, the spiritual center of Oblate Missions.
With the promise of eternal life in the presence of Our Lord and Heavenly Mother, I hope you will join me in this celebration of faith by sending your needs for prayer and healing.
While we celebrate the resurrection of Our Lord and the promise of eternal life, I hope that you will consider making a gift to benefit the poorest of the poor this Easter season. An Easter offering of
$15, $25, $50, $100 — or whatever amount you can afford — will assist our Missionary Oblates as they work to bring hope and healing to the poorest and most abandoned around the world.
Your commitment helps our missionaries to carry Christ’s message of hope to those who lack the basic necessities of life: sufficient food and medical attention.
Your Easter support helps our seminarians in their studies to become Missionary Oblates to bring the message of God’s love and the promise of eternal life.
My wish for you this Easter is to share your happiness and blessings with others.
Please send me the names of your children, grandchildren, friends, neighbors and loved ones so they can be remembered through Pentecost Sunday.
I pray that you remain firm in your faith and belief: For God so loved the world that He gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him might not perish but might have eternal life. John 3:16
May the Risen Christ and Our Heavenly Mother bless and protect you always.
Thank you for your support.
You will receive an e-mail confirmation of your gift shortly.
