Over the course of what has been an uncertain year, one thing has remained constant: the power of prayer in our everyday lives. The holy Christmas season offers an opportunity to renew our attention to prayer — offering prayers of thanks, prayers of petition, prayers for peace and clarity in times of trouble, and more.
I say prayers for you daily, and I hope you do the same for the work of Missionary Oblates throughout the world.
As we celebrate the joy and anticipation leading up to the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ, we’re especially grateful for your loyal and generous support of our missionary efforts in communities around the world, embodying the gracious spirit of this time of year.
To express our thanks for your support, I sent a special gift to you: our exclusive Holy Family Christmas Ornament. I would love for you to hang this ornament on your tree or display it in your home as a remembrance of the true blessing of Christmas.
More important than the ornament, I would also like to offer a special gift of prayer for you and your loved ones.
Beginning on Christmas morning, the Missionary Oblates will be celebrating a Novena of Masses to honor you and your loved ones. For nine consecutive days at Our Lady of Lourdes Grotto and Tepeyac de San Antonio, your needs will be lifted up to heaven in the hope that our Heavenly Father will protect your family and keep you from harm. To accept our gift of prayer, send your prayer petitions and the names of your loved ones by clicking the link.
And with so many challenges in our missions this year, I hope you will extend a Christmas blessing to the children and families served by the Missionary Oblates with an offering of whatever you can afford.
Your generous support allows our Missionary Oblates to bring peace and healing to young children, mothers and families living in extreme poverty — caring for physical needs such as food insecurity and lack of medical care, as well as bringing them the loving, healing word of Our Savior, Jesus Christ.
That’s the true impact of your gifts! You bring relief to hurting families and help us train new seminarians entering the priesthood. What better way to celebrate the birth of Our Lord this Christmas than helping carry out His work on earth?
To help strengthen this impact, please make a gift and send a Christmas blessing today.
No matter what you’re able to give at this time, please accept our prayers and the ornament as my personal Christmas gifts to you. I hope you will be as generous as you can to help children and families during this Holy Season of Christmas.
Thank you for your support.
You will receive an e-mail confirmation of your gift shortly.
