Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Put me to the test, says the LORD of hosts, and see if I do not open the floodgates of heaven for you, and pour down upon
you blessing without measure!
We continue to live in challenging, unprecedented times. But even as we struggle to overcome new obstacles every day, we find that the opportunity to be a blessing to one another is greater than ever before. As Christians, we are called to meet times of hardship by blessing our neighbors — with prayer, with acts of kindness, and with generous giving.
As this year draws to a close, I wanted to personally thank you for your continued support of Oblate Missions.
Your selfless giving has been a lifeline for our Missionary Oblates serving the world’s poor, many of whom are among those hit hardest by the ongoing global impacts of the pandemic. You’ve allowed us to provide the most basic needs — food, water, shelter, clothing, and medical assistance — to the children and families in our mission communities around the world.
Friends like you are one of the blessings we are thrilled to celebrate — and to humbly thank God for — as we enter the holy season of Christmas.
Your support here at the end of 2021 will advance our work, assist our seminarians in their studies, bring much-needed peace and comfort to our elder and infirmed Oblate priests and brothers and continue to serve those in need.
I hope you still have a little room on your Christmas shopping list for our missionaries and the poor, and that you’ll consider a year-end gift of whatever amount you can afford.
Missionary Oblates devote their lives to serving others, living in poverty while attending to the physical and spiritual needs of the poorest of the poor. Your gifts reach around the world to help countless mission children and families. They also ensure that our retired Missionary Oblates, who have given their lives to service, are cared for in their golden years.
Your generosity helps support Oblates through every stage of life: from seminary to overseas missions to local parishes to end of life medical care.
I am so grateful for Mazenodian-Oblate family members like you who believe in creating better futures for our fellow sisters and brothers. You are constantly remembered in our daily prayers and Masses.
In Jesus Christ and Mary Immaculate,
Father David P. Uribe, OMI
Oblate Chaplain Director
